Online Consultations

Our practice at Newcastle Aquatic Physiotherapy is operating in a face-to-face capacity in accordance with NSW Health guidelines and safety procedures. While our primary services are face-to-face again, our team are still available to provide online consultations for clients who would prefer to continue isolating or who cannot access face-to-face services.

We currently offer one-on-one video-conferences using Zoom and telephone-based consultations where video-conferencing is not accessible. All you require for a video-conference is a well-lit room, a computer, laptop or smartphone with a camera and comfortable clothing so that your physiotherapist can assess your movement and guide you through appropriate exercises.

Online consultations are now subsided by Medicare provided that you have a Team Care Arrangement with your GP. Online consultations are currently funded by DVA, Worker's Compensation/CTP (on a case-by-case basis) and most private health funds.

How it works:

Make your appointment the usual way by contacting us via our telephone or email. Please provide your best contact details including email if applicable.
Once the appointment has been scheduled we will send an email to confirm the appointment with instructions and guidelines to help you set-up. You will receive a reminder email the day prior to your appointment with a link to a Zoom meeting. Please refrain from clicking the link until 10 minutes prior to your appointment.

The first time this happens you will be prompted to download the Zoom app - it’s free! You only need to do this once. Once you click on the meeting link the app will open a window with your physio waiting and ready to help.

If you are interested in Telehealth, please contact us via email at aquaticphysio@bigpond.com to speak to our team.
